Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Finance Manager to strengthen our Operational finance team. As the Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for two high-profile contracts. This role will require you to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and work closely with Contract Directors to achieve ambitious financial targets. You will analyze financial data, forecast trends, provide financial support and training to operational teams, and implement initiatives to drive operational improvements. Additionally, you will lead a team of Accountants, ensuring their development and contribution to the business is maximized.
Responsibilities
Operate in a finance business partner role, supporting nominated Contract Directors to manage their businesses to ambitious financial targets.
Use trend analysis and forecasting techniques to highlight risks and opportunities in a timely manner, maximizing benefits to the business.
Provide support and training to operational teams, ensuring Operations Managers and Location Managers can maximize the operational efficiency of their teams and contracts.
Identify and implement initiatives to deliver sustainable operational improvements.
Manage the month-end process and provide timely and informative financial and operational information to internal and external stakeholders.
Regularly present financial performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead a team of 2 Accountants, ensuring their development and contribution to the business is maximized.
Work effectively as part of a team of 10 finance business partners.
Qualifications & Skills
- A lively, outgoing personality.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA).
- Proven ability to work with and analyze large data sets.
- Experience operating in a multi-site retail business, preferably within a food service/catering environment (not essential).
- A motivated, self-starter with an inquisitive and proactive approach to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting across all levels of the business in formal and informal environments.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong commercial mindset.
- Passion for delivering improvement.

Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating and modifying engineering drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Full driving license (preferred for site visits)
